The Abu Dhabi Police signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Washington DC Police in the USA. The purpose of the agreement is to enhance information exchange, police expertise, and training courses in security fields.

The UAE delegation, headed by Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General of Human Resources in the Abu Dhabi Police, recently visited the Washington DC Police in United States of America, and met high ranking police officers. The delegation viewed the latest practices in comprehensive police centers in the USA; they discussed a number of police matters of mutual concern.

Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, signed the agreement on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Police, and Alfred Durham, Assistant Chief of Washington DC Police, signed for the Washington DC Police.

Major General Al Menhali noted: “Signing this agreement with one of the best police institutions in this field, comes in line with the directives of Lt. General His Highness Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. The agreement aims to provide knowledge and advanced skill to police members in fields of training and exchange of information. This agreement will positively reflect on improving the police staff’s skills by providing them with latest expertise in their work fields.”

Al Awadhi was accompanied by Colonel Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director of Peripheral Areas Police Directorate in the Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Othman Haji Al Khouri, Director of Human Resources Director General Office, Colonel Saif Mohammed Al Nuaimi, from Human Resources General Department, Captain Mohammed Khalil Badran, from Police Operations Director General Office, Captain Abdul Aziz Al Sharif, the police attaché in UAE Embassy in the USA.
