Strategic partnership between MoI and TRA discussed
Major General Mattar bin Salim Meseid Al Niyadi, MoI Director General of Electronic Services and Telecommunications met in his office with Mohammad Ghayathi CEO of Information Technology Affairs at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).
They discussed during the meeting strengthening of strategic partnership between MoI and TRA and possibility of developing technical cooperation in matters related to information technology and telecommunications systems to serve the country in aspects of security nature.
Al Niyadi lauded the efforts made by MoI and TRA working teams through cooperation and communication between them, in respect of telecommunications network, information security and programmes serving both parties.
He expressed MoI preparedness to provide technical support to TRA to assist in finding out appropriate solutions so that the telecommunications network so that mobile phones network (GSM) and the internet can cover the whole country.
he meeting was attended by Colonel Salah Ahmed Mireish, Director of Technical Support Department and Directors of Departments at MoI Directorate General of Electronic Services and Telecommunications.
