Under the patronage of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, President Emeritus of the UAE Association for Strategic Planning, the Association will hold its first strategic planning annual conference (UAE 2021) at the Federal National Council headquarters in Abu Dhabi next Monday.

Colonel Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Director of Strategy and Performance Development at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, and member of the UAE Association for Strategic Planning emphasized that the conference aims to support the Country's efforts to implement the (UAE Vision 2021). This comprehensive vision includes the guidelines of the Union’s main topics, namely; responsibility; destiny; knowledge; and prosperity for the people of the UAE, in concert with the 41st National Day celebrations.

He added: “We aspire to achieve a number of objectives, with respect to our vision for the distant and near future, by identifying the gaps between the current reality and the plan established for 2021, in light of the international, regional and local changes. We also aim to hear experts’ view in this regard, and shed light on the most important obstacles that might impede achieving the UAE 2021 vision.

An elite group of national figures will take part in the conference. 4 work papers will be presented on several main topics, namely; the security topic presented by Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Chief of the Dubai Police; and the citizenship topic presented by Dr. Mona Al Bahar, Federal National Council member. The other two topics are, the economy topic, to be provided by Najib Al Shamsi, expert and economic analyst; and finally the education topic, presented by Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Assistant Professor at Department of Curriculum & Instruction, Faculty of Education - United Arab Emirates University
