Two new Civil Defense centers started operations in Ghayathi and Ghuwaifat in the Western Region, while four additional centers: Hamim, Badaa Zayed, Delma, and Salah will be inaugurated by the end of the year, according to Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director General of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi.
Colonel Al Nuaimi explained that the creation of new centers reflects the strategic plan of the Abu Dhabi Government to provide modern infrastructures covering the expansive area. He pointed out that these centers are characterized by their proximity to residential areas and are equipped with the latest equipment enhancing its emergency response.
Colonel Al Nuaimi was briefed on the recently inaugurated centers during a tour; he was accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Obeid Al Zaabi, Director of Civil Defense Directorate in the Western Region in addition to a number of Civil Defense officers.
He listened to Colonel Al Zaabi’s detailed explanation of the new centers, which opened its doors in the last period. He explained the ways to provide services to the public and its operation plan that includes the best use of all the available resources.
He then visited the Civil Defense center in the directorate and the centers Liwa, Ghayathi, and Ghuwaifat, urging staff to provide all the necessary requirements for these centers and their counterparts.
The Director of Civil Defense Directorate in the Western Region called on the workers to exert outstanding efforts in order to upgrade the Civil Defense centers in the Emirate.
He stressed on the importance of the cooperation within the team, which is considered the key element of the work in this vital organization, thanking the Director of the Civil Defense Directorate in the Western Region, all the non-commissioned officers, and the workers in the Western Region for their high spirit and determination to provide protection, safety, and security for all.
