Security Committee of International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition: Discusses
security and weapons licensing mechanism
The Security Committee of the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (IHEE) – 2010, began its preparations for the current year edition of the Exhibition, which will be held during the period from 22 to 25 September at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.
The Committee during its meeting which was chaired by Colonel Humeid Saeed Al Afreet, Head of Weapons and Explosives Section at ADP and Chairman of Security Committee of IHEE, discussed security and weapons licensing mechanism, providing IHEE with them and ensuring availability of general safety conditions.
Al Afreet said “IHEE is a good opportunity for the public to b acquainted with weapons, importance of having them licensed, abiding by laws and regulations regularizing this, in addition to boosting cooperation with authorities concerned in this regard”.
“What characterizes IHEE that it gives opportunity to learn about the civilized and shining image of the country and enhancing tourism and heritage aspects. Weapons shows are attractive to the public and organizers as well, in accordance with their general safety conditions”, added Al Afreet.
Ministry of Interior has set up a Permanent Security Committee for IHEE to supervise the issue of hunting weapons licenses, in accordance with well studied mechanism to ensure easy and quick procedures, in addition to awareness aspects of weapons possession.
