The first Smart Systems Conference in Abu Dhabi will be held tomorrow “Tuesday” at the Abu Dhabi Royal Meriden Hotel, under the patronage of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Interior.
 
The two-day conference which is co-organized by Abu Dhabi Police and the Municipality of Abu Dhabi is the first of its kind in the Middle East, said Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi. The world’s latest technologies in the field of smarts traffic systems will be addressed, he added, pointing out that the ministry of interior will hold an exhibition on the sidelines of the conference featuring its most important achievements.

For his part, the Deputy Executive Director for Road and Infrastructure Sector affirmed that the Municipality of Abu Dhabi is keen to take part in the global gatherings hosted by Abu Dhabi, to avail the pioneering expertise in the field of smart traffic systems and infrastructure applications.

Municipality of Abu Dhabi is moving forward in implementing the distinguished and successful experiences in terms of developing the smart traffic systems applications through construction of traffic lights network, CCTV systems, and the traffic systems management center, he added.

In cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police, the Municipality has launched Traffic Injury Mapping System (TIMS).
