Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has awarded Major General Saeed bin Ali, from Saudi Arabia, and Dr. Nora Al Kawwari and Ghada Al Maliki, both from Qatar with their first and second prizes respectively as they won the Security Research Award.
Sheikh Saif praised the General Secretariat of the GCC for its efforts to communicate and spread knowledge among the GCC nationals, indicating that the Award, thanks to the support of GCC interior ministers, will assist in achieving the aspirations of the GCC interior ministers.
For his part, the GCC Assistant Secretary General for Security Affairs, Brigadier Hazza Al Hajeri lauded the effort of all participants, noting that the Award was firstly launched in 2009 and was welcomed by all member states.
A total of 14 persons have presented their security studies on demographic structure this year, he added.
