The summer program for Officers’ children at the Al Ain Police General Directorate will kick off on Sunday, June 24, and will span over one month.
The Coordination Committee in charge of the program at the Al Ain Police Officers Club held a meeting to discuss the latest preparations for the program, which will be attended by Officers’ children aged between 8 and 14.
The organization of this summer program embodies Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ strategy aimed to fill the officers’ children’s time, by engaging them in various educational, religious, sports and recreational programs, in order to protect them and keep them busy, for their own interest and good during the summer vacation.
The summer program includes several cultural, religious, sports and recreational activities, events and competitions, and a number of prizes. These events are expected to create an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment for children. It is worth noting that the participation was broadened this year to include the Officers’ daughters of the same age group like the sons.
The program will also include field trips to some police work stations including the Traffic Institute, civil defense, emergency and public safety department as well as the security inspection department in order to acquaint the children with the nature of work and the efforts exerted to promote the process of security, stability and public safety for all members of society; as well as to raise the level of traffic and social awareness among the children. The program will also include other field trips to archaeological sites and tourist attractions in the city of Al Ain.
It is worth mentioning that the summer program event receives much attention from parents and police officers, and inspires great enthusiasm and earnest desire among the children eager, to take advantage of it.
