To mark the 42nd UAE National Day, the December 2nd Convoy, organized by the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector will start its tour as of tomorrow Tuesday. The convoy will include a number of vehicles belonging to the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector, bearing the Ministry of Interior’s logo along with the logo of the community services provided by the sector such as the Amer service. The convoy is scheduled to begin the tour from the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Headquarters in Fujairah, and will visit the various directorates general of Residency and Foreigners Affairs at the countrywide level, to ultimately return on on December 2, to the Directorate General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs General Headquarters in Abu Dhabi. 

Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Port Affairs emphasized that launching the convoy reflects the commitment of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector to take part in the UAE 42nd National celebrations. “The convoy will include a string of vehicles of the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Sector led by a car bearing lights with the State’s flag colors,” indicated Major General Al Khaili.

“This campaign aims to promote the outstanding services offered by the Sector to the public,” noted Al Khaili. He also emphasized that the campaign intends to raise awareness of citizens and residents about the risks of hiring or harboring violators of the Entry and Residency law.  He also stressed the importance of cooperating with law enforcement agencies to report such infiltrators. The Acting Assistant Undersecretary also urged the public to back Dubai’s bid to host “Expo 2020”. “Various events and activities will accompany the convoy to demonstrate the joy of this dear occasion,” added Al Khaili; calling on everyone to cooperate with the convoy’s organizers to achieve the coveted goals.
