The Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior held a meeting to discuss means to develop work mechanisms and enhance performance. The meeting, chaired by Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadi, Acting Director of Public Relations, was attended by Department directors, heads of sections and a number of officers and staff.
During the meeting, Colonel Hussein stressed the importance of holding regular meetings and achieving regular administrative reviews. He also emphasized the importance of teamwork, to continuously develop and improve performance.
Colonel Al Awadi expressed his thanks to all the Department’s officers and staff, praising their efforts to ensure another ISO certification for the Department.
The meeting tackled a number of issues related to the Department, namely; working to pursue implementation of the ISO system; developing work processes, to achieve the required quality specifications; as well as the initiatives and proposals related to the Department.
Attendees also stressed the need to implement the Department’s 2011–2013 Strategic Plan. This can be achieved by further implementing strategic initiatives and linking them to the administrative operations mentioned in the Operations Classification guide. It also includes activating the social activities previously organized by the Department; receiving proposals, notes and obstacles to be studied by the Strategy and Performance Development Section, in order to find appropriate solutions; as well as applying the employee’s daily work model to identify the employees’ achievements.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of activating partnerships with government and non-governmental institutions.
