The Leadership Development and Creativity Center in the General Secretariat of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior organized in the conference room at the Ministry’s headquarters, an introductory conference that focused on the Leadership Development and Creativity Center in the General Secretariat of H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior, as part of a one-week program which included the various police general commandments at the State level.
In his lecture, Dr. Major Omar Ibrahim Al-Ali from the Leadership Development and Creativity Center presented an overview about the establishment of the center as an independent unit to act as a specialized department in the Leadership Development and Creativity field. This unit includes four main divisions developed according to the latest international systems and practices.
Al-Ali also shed the light on the vision, mission, values and organizational structure of the center, pointing out to the regular assessment of skills through a psychological rehabilitation, training, development and promotion, as well as positions, tasks, operations, creativity and talents, selection and appointment.
He added that the assessment tools include psychiatric tests, simulation exercises and English language tests (BULATS).
Moreover, Al-Ali presented a number of definitions relevant to strategic thinking patterns, institutional planning, use of the resources, performance management, identifying trends and directions, empowerment and commission. He also addressed the different stages of the Future Leaders program and its goals, which aim to prepare and train leaders at the Ministry of Interior, in the purpose of achieving the Ministry’s strategic goals and instill a spirit of competition among the officers. The conference was attended by a number of directors and officers from the Ministry of Interior.
