In preparation for his expected visit to Iran, Saif bin Zayed receives Iranian Ambassador

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lt. General Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UAE, Mohammed Riza Fayyad, who came to greet him on the occasion of assuming his duties in the country.

Sheikh Saif welcomed the new ambassador, and wished him every success in his new position to further bolster the relations of brotherhood and neighborhood between the two countries.

During the meeting, Sheikh Saif and the Iranian envoy discussed the bilateral relations and ways to boost them.

At the end of the meeting, HH Sheikh Saif assigned Lt. Colonel Saif Al Sha’far to follow up preparations for his expected visit to Iran to discuss and study mechanism of joint cooperation in security areas including drug combating, search and rescue and other police issues of common interest.

Attended the meeting were Lt. Colonel Saif Al Sha’far, undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Nasser Lekhrebani Al Nuaimi, secretary general of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Interior, Major General Khalifa Harib Al Kheli, assistant undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Resources and Support Services, Brigadier Al Khalfan Al Dhaheri, director general of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police.
