Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director General of Civil Defense in Abu Dhabi Police, attended the graduation ceremony of 60 firefighters at the Civil Defense Academy headquarters in Abu Dhabi, who completed a training course on the best means of action during accidents, and the best tools and modern techniques to combat any kind of fires, according to the highest international standards; by experts in the field of civil defense.

Colonel Al Nuaimi pointed out that during the course, which spanned over six months, the graduates received theoretical and scientific training for three months at Abu Dhabi Police schools, on the various Police sciences and personal skills. They also received practical training at the Civil Defense Academy in Abu Dhabi for another 3 months.

Moreover, Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of such courses in raising the level of field performance of civil defense members, so as to enhance their potential, and at the same time, acquaint them with the appropriate and speedy course of action when dealing with accidents and fires.

 “The success of such courses, which continuously contribute in qualifying the human cadre, would not be possible without the guidance and support of the police leadership; which provided the various means of success to the graduates,” he added.

Al Nuaimi praised the outstanding level of the graduates during the course and the time they spent at the police schools and the Civil Defense Academy, lauding their high efficiency. He also urged them to exert further efforts in the performance of their duties; pointing out that the firefighter’s job is primarily a humanitarian one, to ensure the safety and stability for all.

At the end of the ceremony, which was attended by a number of officers, Department and Branch Directors, certificates were distributed to the graduates.
