A total of 87 members from the Ports Security Institute in Abu Dhabi Police, including 8 members from Yemen, Lebanon and Egypt, graduated after completing 4 courses spanning over one week on: “airport security basics course”, “skills development for support services staff”, “data collection and analysis”, “security inspection and detection”.

Lieutenant Colonel Naima Salim Awad, Acting Director of Ports Security Institute, stressed Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to enhance and develop its employees’ capabilities in the various areas of police work, as an embodiment of the vision and objectives of its strategy, aimed to care for the human element, regarded as the pillar of development in all police sectors.

Lt. Col. Awad stated that the Ports Security Institute has always been keen to hold and organize courses, with the participation of a number of qualified experts, to refine the skills of police personnel and develop their functional abilities, which reflects positively and concretely on service performance in all of its all departments.

Lt. Colonel Awad congratulated the graduates, praising their efforts and attention to improve their performance, as well as their timely attendance at all lectures; noting that this reflects their dedication and loyalty. She called on them to apply the knowledge they acquired in their daily work, in order to pursue the path of excellence in work.

For her part, Major Wahida Yusuf Nasser Al Hosani, Director of Training Department, explained that 3 courses were completed at the Ports Security Institute, while the “airport security basics course” was completed at Al Ain Airport. 80 members participated in these courses, including 8 participants from Yemen, Lebanon and Egypt.

Al Hosani added that the courses contribute in raising the efficiency of the graduates and enhancing their knowledge in several areas related to their functional duties; as well as achieving the objectives pursued by the individual departments.

At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed to the graduates in the presence of a number of officers and officials at the Ports and Airports Security Police Department.
