Five staff members, including 3 officers, from the Ministry of Interior and the Directorate General of Electronic Services obtained the Accredited Assessor Certification from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model 2013 from Brussels, Belgium.
Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, honored the staff members who attained this achievement namely; Major Salem Abdullah Saqr; Captain Nasser Abdullah Al Saadi; First Lt. Sroor Mohsen Al Harbi; First Sergeant Maryam Hassan El Mansouri; and Sergeant Noura Abdullah Al Hamli.
Moreover, Al Raisi pointed out that this certification enables the recipients to acquire the necessary skills to perform efficient evaluation for any organization. It also contributes to develop their management skills and enhance their assessment performance. Moreover, he stressed the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to appropriately qualify its human cadre and develop their technical and mental skills, so as to keep abreast of progress and future needs.
“Obtaining the EFQM Master Assessor Training – MAT certification requires participants to provide preparatory projects and case study prior to the program. This must be consistent with Ministry of Interior’s aspirations to apply international-best practices to achieve its five-year strategy,” he noted. It is noteworthy that the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model is the framework to help institutions enhance their competitiveness and achieve excellence as a key standard. It is also an important instrument to assess staff’s professional status within institutions; its progress and strength, so as to provide a positive added-value to the services provided by the institution.
Al Raisi also praised the honorees’ attention and dedication to achieve excellence in obtaining the certificate. Concluding, he wished them success and further excellence in their careers.
