Cooperation between MoI and Standards Authority discussed
The High Permanent Committee for Criteria and Standards at MoI held a meeting yesterday chaired by major General Mattar Salim bin Miseid Al Niyadi, Director General of Electronic Services and Telecommunications in the presence of all Members of the Committee.
Those present discussed the means of boosting cooperation and coordination between MoI and Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (EASM). A proposal about standards and specifications that could be implemented in MoI was distributed to Sub-committees for study and to advise the High Permanent Committee how to make use of it.
ISO 27001 two specifications and SIGMA System 6 were reviewed so as to be submitted to High Committees Department for approval in preparation for implementation in MoI.
Al Niyadi indicated the increase of security performance and policing due to the care and attention of the Higher Leadership in order to promote work, to achieve the desired aspirations and to strengthen partnership ties with local and international organizations in standards and criteria areas.
