Brigadier Nakheerah: Emirates policy is based on principle of tolerance
Brigadier Ahmed Nakheerah, Director oh Human Rights Department at MoI said "The UAE is open to all world peoples and has no policy of discrimination against anyone. The Emirates policy is based on the principle of tolerance towards others".
He said during reception of a delegation from American Universities recently "Economic and technological development of the country do not make the country ignore the social and humanitarian dimensions in development process. They form the necessary infrastructure for any economic and technological development".
"The country and since its establishment works on developing and modernizing education, judiciary, and police agencies to keep pace with the overall renaissance which the country witnesses in away that serve the public interest and human rights", added Nakheerah.
He then explained to the delegation MoI efforts in maintaining human rights and its role in combating crime.
A number of officers answered the questions of the delegation members on issues related to human rights, law respect culture programmes and legislations that organize human rights in the country.
