A delegation from the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports and Residence at the Kingdom of Bahrain was briefed on the UAE experience in the field of Naturalization, Residency and Ports, and got acquainted with the systems used in this area.

Major General Nasser bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, met in his office, today, the Bahraini Nationality, Passports and Residence delegation currently visiting the UAE, headed by Amal Issa Boujandl, Head of the Systems Development Section at the Bahraini Ministry of Interior.

Both parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination and exchange of expertise and experiences; as well as means of identifying the existing regulations in force in the area of Naturalization, Residency and Ports, and other issues of common interest between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, Acting Director General of Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs.

The visiting delegation toured the Naturalization, Residency and Ports General Directorate, accompanied by Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, where they were welcomed by Lt. Colonel Awad Al Marar, Director of Naturalization Department and a number of officers. Major Khamis Al Kindi, Head of the Electronic Passport section gave a detailed explanation on the work procedures followed in the process of issuing the E-passports, and then the delegation was introduced to the modern systems and up-to-date equipment used in printing and issuing the electronic passports.

The delegation had visited yesterday, the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, where they were received by Colonel Salim Ali Al Qattam; Director General of Residence and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
