A delegation from the Community Police Branch at Al Mussafah Police Station took part as a guest at the Ramadan Council hosted by Citizen Yasser Mubarak Sayiri, at the Mohammed Ben Zayed City in Abu Dhabi. This participation is part of the Ramadan social councils’ initiative implemented by all Community Police Branches at the various Comprehensive Police Stations affiliated with the Outer Regions Police Department at Abu Dhabi police GHQ, during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The delegation was headed by Captain Abdulla Mohammed Al Harithi Head of the Community Police Affairs at the Outer Regions Police Department; Lieutenant Faisal Saad, Director of the Community Police Branch at Al Mussafah Police Department, and a number of Community Police Department members.

Captain Abdulla Mohammed Al Harithi stated that the Ramadan social councils’ initiative aims to meet with individuals at their assemblies, in order to identify their needs and the main problems they face, as well as to spread awareness regarding some negative phenomena and how to address them through cooperation with the various society entities. He added that the security of the community is a social responsibility, which is not limited to police members; it falls upon every citizen and resident who play a significant role in this regard. 

He noted: "This initiative is one of several programs implemented during the Holy Month, and is a part of the Abu Dhabi Police Strategy, represented by the Outer Regions Police Department and the Community Police Branch, to increase the community's satisfaction with the services provided by the police, and to communicate the idea that every community member is a law enforcement officer in his area of residence by paying attention to every wrongful behavior”.

The Ramadan Council also included a comprehensive dialog between the attendance and the Community Police delegation, regarding the meaning of partnership and its role in police communication with community members, as well as social responsibility.

Citizen Yasser Mubarak Sayiri concluded by saying that Abu Dhabi Police has been pioneering in identifying community members’ conditions and needs, as well as in sharing their thoughts regarding safety and security of the community.
