The Human Resources Directorate General at Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Employees Performance Appraisal Department, recently organized a specialized workshop to acquaint the Al Ain Police employees with the Ideal Employee award and the E-contributions system. The workshop was held in the Police Officers Club in Al Ain.

 Capt. Abdullah Karami Al Ameri, branch manager of the non-commissioned officers and civilians, the Job Incentive section at the Employees Performance Appraisal Department indicated that the Ideal Employee Award aims to encourage Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s staff members, to develop their skills and competencies, and to improve the level of functional performance.

Al Ameri added that this workshop is the first phase to qualify staff members to the Minister of Interior’s Award. Moreover, he highlighted the various categories for participation in the Award, which include areas of supervision, technical excellence, engineering and specialized functions, as well as the management and field excellence and the new distinguished employee category.

Captain Al Ameri also gave a simple overview of the job incentive methodology, supervised by the department, and its different areas, such as the medals, the distinguished student awards, the ideal employee, the training excellence award, the praise and the appreciation, documenting employees contributions, appraisal forms, performance measurement standards for liaison officers, and the means used to publish and circulate this methodology among employees.

At the end of the lecture, the Ideal Employee Award application form was distributed, comprising the terms of technical writing, and the criteria that applicants must meet to be eligible for the award.
