The Abu Dhabi Police’s Traffic and Patrols Directorate participates in the 23rd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which starts on Wednesday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center.

Lt. Colonel Jamal Salem Al Amri, Chief of Public Relations Section in the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, said that its participation is part of the Abu Dhabi Police traffic safety strategy, which prioritizes making the roads safer while maintaining a social communication policy that reinforces traffic education. He also added that the book fair represents an important educational event for diverse social groups.

He said that the pavilion designated for the Traffic and Patrols Directorate includes many interactive and diverse programs. Dialogues will be held with drivers to spread traffic awareness.

Al Amri stated that there are child-oriented programs that will be held in the pavilion at the fair. These programs will highlight digital content and electronic applications by holding traffic competitions on i-pads. Additionally, books and awareness brochures will be distributed. Children also will participate through drawings that aim to promote the traffic culture among them. Awareness programs will cater to the different age groups present at the book fair.

Visitors will also receive gifts inspired by traffic topics. There will also be models featuring a traffic policeman and policewoman reinforcing the positive image of policemen as a child’s friend. He also invited the public to visit the traffic awareness pavilion in the creativity section at the book fair, which will welcome visitors in the morning and evening.
