Women team of Abu Dhabi Police Human Resources Directorate General won the first place in the Emirates Open Taekwondo Championship 2011 organized by the UAE Taekwondo and Karate Federation at the Suwaihan Police School sport hall with the participation of 74 athletes representing 7 government and private centers.
The team, also got 8 medals in individual level, faced tough competition from the multinational professional Taekwondo players.
For the second two in a raw, the team was able to win the Emirates Open Taekwondo Championship, thanks to the high training capabilities of its members who successfully passed infantry, firearms, and self-defence courses, according to Colonel Waleed Salem Al Shamesi, director of police schools department of Abu Dhabi Police.
The Police Schools Department presented flowers and scarves bearing the ‘spirit of the union’ to all participants in celebration of the 4th UAE national day.
