Abu Dhabi Police to set Geographical information System
Lt. Colonel Nasser Suleiman Al Maskari, Chairman of Geographical Information Systems Project Committee, has announced that Abu Dhabi Police is in the process of introducing a Security center for Geographical Information Systems.
According to him the strategic dimension of the project has been approved as a strategic initiative within ADP Strategic development plans.
The aim of the project is to develop a smart security system to support all police activities in respect of information and knowledge. The system will also serve all policing works, such as operations rooms, deployment of patrols, locations of investigations, criminal evidence, strategically sensitive sites and help decision makers to manage change.
The project will include all ADP Organizational Units, Police Departments in all Emirates, Military, Security and Organizations, Public Educational Institutions and Universities in UAE.
1st Lt. Mohammad Saleh Al Mansouri, Director of Geographical Information Systems and manager of the Project stated that the total geographical information systems projects will have a total of 65 projects which once implemented will boost Police efficiency in its various operations.
