Abu Dhabi Police organizes road race competitions

Clubs and Sport Activities Department at Abu Dhabi Police, organized on Tuesday morning, the first 3000- meters Road Race Championship with the participation of 30 ADP personnel.

Racers competed around the Al Mushrif Park in Abu Dhabi to win the cup presented by director- general of Guards and Special Tasks Department.

The race was attended by Brigadier Fares Khalifa Al Farsi, the director-general of Guards and Special Tasks, Colonel. Saleh Al Rashedi, the director of Government and Diplomatic Facilities Protection Department, Lt. Colonel Aref Saif Al Shamesi, the director of Clubs and Sport Activities Department and a number of police officers and personnel.

Al Farsi urged the participants to continue taking part in different sport championships organized by Abu Dhabi Police, which will help enhance fair competition, promote the spirit of belonging and improve sport capacity for Abu Dhabi Police personnel.

In individual results, Ali Abdullah Eissa from the Government and Diplomatic Facilities Protection Department gained the first place as he ended the race in 10 minutes and 45 seconds. The second place went to Jassem Ali Abbas from Government and Diplomatic Facilities Protection Department who finished the distance in 11 minutes, while the Sultan Ali, from the same department came third.

In the teams results, Force 7 Department gained the first place with 158 points, while Special Tasks Department came second with 55 points and the third place went to Government and Diplomatic Facilities Protection Department with 15 points
