The Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters website (www.adpolice.gov.ae) won in the electronic governmental shield award competition, among the best strategic websites for the category of the security and military institutions websites. The award for the competition, which is in its third edition, was granted by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development of the League of Arab States, in partnership with Arab Web Awards Academy in the Arab region.
Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, ICT Director has received the award in the ceremony, which was held recently in the World Congress Center in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
Colonel Anwar Al Mulla stated that a specialized committee in the electronic governmental shield award competition has nominated Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters website to compete for the award, among a group of other security websites, according to the competition criteria.
“The win is due to several reasons. First of all, the website is a public media tool, which introduces the different services to the public, especially the traffic services. It also receives proposals from the public and communicates with them, as well as other services provided by the Police General Headquarters,” he added.
Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has also won the best interactive platform in June for its page on Facebook at the level of the governmental sector in the Arab world, by the same specialized committee from the Arab Organization for Administrative Development.
Colonel Mohamed Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of Information Technology and Communications Directorate, Captain Ahmed Mohammed bin Hady and Captain Rashid Shteit Al Shamisi all attended the ceremony.
