A delegation from the Forensic Evidence Department at the Directorate General of Security and Ports Affairs in Abu Dhabi, reviewed the techniques applied by the forensic laboratories affiliated to the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Belarus. Moreover, the delegation members were acquainted with the work mechanism and scientific methods adopted in dealing with cases.

Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Head of the Forensic Evidence Department and head of the delegation, noted that the visit came at the invitation of the Forensic Evidence Committee at the Belarus Ministry of Interior, to meet and discuss means of cooperation, as well as exchange expertise.

“The delegation was acquainted with the best practices and experiences in the field of technical procedures used by the Belarus Police forensic laboratories. Both parties also discussed ways of enhancing mutual cooperation in areas of common interest,” said Colonel Al Hammadi.

The delegation also visited the DNA laboratories, the prints and dyes laboratories, the fire department, the acoustic testing laboratories, the cyber crimes section and the Investigation College at the Police Academy. The delegation also toured the “Ricleh” company, leading manufacturer of technical lab equipment, where they were briefed on the company’s latest products.

The delegation included Colonel Khamis Al Kaabi, Head of Al Ain Forensic Evidence Department; and Major Zeina Al Hattali, Biological Inspections and Tests Branch Manager at the Forensic Biology Department.
