Under the patronage of Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Social Support Centers Department of Abu Dhabi Police, organizes the “The Role Of Family in Modern Society: Challenges and Support” Conference. The conference will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, on the 15th and 16th of May.
Colonel Mohammed Ahmed Al Hosni, Deputy Director of Social Support Centers Department, said: “The conference focuses mainly on family, which represents the building block for a secure and safer society.”
He added: “Five major topics will be discussed at the conference, and they are: Showing the importance of family role in today’s modern society, determining the challenges and obstacles facing families, particularly the Emirati families; developing and providing a number of practical solutions for the specific problems, determining the role of different social institutions in supporting families, establishing and developing partnerships with organizations that provide help and support to families in the UAE.”
Al Hosni explained: “The conference will be held over two days, with two sessions per day, each addressing four topics. On the first day, the first session will shed the light on the following: discussing the role of family in fighting crime, establishing social stability, providing health and psychological care for children and studying the impact of demographic change on family. The second session will address the impacts of media and domestic violence on family and ways to enhance national affiliation within the family.”
On the second day, the first session will be dedicated to study the main factors that affect behavior in society, how these factors can affect the family, the role of the media, religious institutions and marriage fund in providing support to families. The second session will be allocated to study the different health, social and feminine aspects.”
