In collaboration with the Knowledge Higher Committee, the Knowledge Center at the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) organized the seventh forum for exchanging knowledge and ideas. The forum was held at the Forensic Evidence Hall at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.

Colonel Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Director of Strategy and Performance Development at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, inaugurated the Forum and welcomed the audience in attendance. He reiterated that this Forum achieves the vision of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to ensure that Abu Dhabi continues to be a secure and safe community that provides high-quality police services for the citizens, residents, and visitors of Abu Dhabi.

Additionally, Colonel Al Shuaibi explained that the Forum is part of Abu Dhabi Police’s approach and commitment to foster the knowledge culture in all sectors- which has become a practical reality through the application of the best practices. The Forum is also an opportunity to discuss and learn about unique experiences, and to share and further develop knowledge.

After that, Sir Hugh Stephen Roden Orde, the President of the Association of Chief Police Officers in the UK, discussed the policy regarding the use of force in accordance with the police model for the British police. He explained that the British model is among the international models that should be examined and utilized. This model focuses on crime prevention and response, and recognizes the importance of the cooperation of society, as it greatly limits the necessity for the use of force and helps to achieve the objectives of police.
