During its second meeting in 2012, the Higher Committee of the Development and Change Program Management of the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters discussed a project for developing the promotion system for officers, non commissioned officers, and individuals. The promotion system is included in the Committee’s agenda to review the initiatives of the strategic plan.

The meeting was attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior; Major General Mohamed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Director General Of Human Resources; Colonel Sheikh Mohammad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director of Peripheral Areas Directorate; Colonel Mohamed Hameed bin Dalmouj Al Zahiri, Director General of Strategy and Performance Development Department; Colonel Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Head of the Executive Committee for Development and Change Program; and a number of high ranking officers.
 
Major General Al Nuaimi reasserted that the new promotion system underwent an extensive study by experts, and was adopted after reviewing many successful local and international models.

He said: “The Committee approved establishing an assigned division for anti- trafficking, which will be under the Criminal Investigation Departments (CID) in the Abu Dhabi Police. The division will be created with the purpose of activating and enhancing the efforts made to fight these types of crime.”

Major General Al Nuaimi pointed out that the Committee discussed the plan of crisis management development and training, comprehensive health program for members of the Abu Dhabi Police General Directorate, the strategy of Punitive and Correctional Institution, and development programs that are being applied.
