The Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing ranked first in the photography contest, during an event held at the Abu Dhabi Police Officers' Club.

During the ceremony, Brigadier Salim Ali Al Shamsi, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services, Director of Finance Department at Abu Dhabi police, handed the first place prize to Major Pilot Ahmed Al Mulla from the Air Wing Section. Moreover, Al Shamsi lauded the officers’ keenness and attention to develop their hobbies. He encouraged them to pursue further innovation and develop their skills, whether in photography or in their respective lines of work.

For his part, Al Mulla expressed his pleasure to win this contest, hailing the attention and support dedicated by the Police Leadership to its human cadre, by motivating them to pursue further creativity and innovation in various areas. .

“A large number of officers and non-commissioned officers from Abu Dhabi police participated in the contest, which featured many creative works. The judging committee was supervised by Emirati artist Mohammed Al Ustaz and the Emirati artist Khuloud Al-Jaber”, said Al Shamsi.

Al Mulla’s expressive winning photos depicted Al Rub’ Al Khali, and highlighted the aesthetics of urban development in the UAE, through eye-catching paintings.

It is noteworthy that Al Mulla became passionate about photography in 2008, after taking part in a basics course in photography. Later on, he enrolled in several advanced specialized courses, to hone his talent.
