Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters has been recognized for “Best Environmental Practices in the Arab World” by the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility. This occurred during the third annual awards ceremony, held to honor the best environmental activists in the Arab world. Abu Dhabi Police was granted the award, in recognition of their achievements made over the past few years, and their multiple initiatives in the field of environmental protection. The award also honors Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to organize events and activities that serve and develop society, in addition to its participation in other similar activities.
Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director of the Diwan Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, received the award during the annual ceremony held recently at the Al Murooj Rotana Hotel in Dubai. This ceremony witnessed the honoring of several government leaders, officials, ministries, and public institutions from a number of Arab countries that have made remarkable achievements and started environmental initiatives.
Lieutenant Colonel Al Dhaheri said that the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ interest in green initiatives stems from the higher leadership’s commitment to preserve the environment, which is demonstrated in the launch of several green initiatives that are line with the UAE’s National Green Growth Strategy.
