The Community Police Department represented by the Community Awareness Department presented the play called “Strangers” to Ajnadeen Primary School students in Abu Dhabi with the collaboration of the Abu Dhabi Police Volunteers Department. The play taught children the importance of avoiding interaction with strangers and protecting themselves from wrongdoing.
First Lieutenant Rashid Al Ashkhari, Head of the Community Awareness Branch in the Community Police Department, indicated that the play is in line with the awareness and collaboration plan of the Abu Dhabi Education Council. “The program embodies the goals of the Community Police in terms of strengthening the community’s confidence in the police and developing the spirit of partnership and responsibility between community members and the police in order to achieve security for society,” added First Lieutenant Al Ashkhari. He praised the cooperation with strategic partners to promote the security culture and awareness in society.
Intisar Al Shaibani, Director of Ajnadeen Primary School, lauded the awareness role of the Community Police Department, which provides moral support and awareness for students. The students benefit from the lessons of social behaviors that can protect them from wrongdoing.
Furthermore, she noted that the play was simultaneously productive, worthwhile and amusing for the students with its simple, easy and entertaining style. Concluding, she expressed her thanks to the Abu Dhabi Police for its fruitful and efficient cooperation.
At the end of the play, members of the Community Police Department distributed awareness pamphlets and brochures to the students and mothers.
