Within the “Safety in Facilities and Buildings” campaign, Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate, represented by its customer service center, has established an exhibition in Bawabat Al Sharq Mall, in Bani Yas in Abu Dhabi. The event focused on the latest tools to educate the public on the best ways in order to avoid the causes of accidents and fires.
Lieutenant Ali Nasser Al Yaf’i, Director of Media and Public Relations Branch in Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate stated that the exhibition comes within the "Safety Campaign" to educate the largest segment of society against the major risks in facilities and buildings.
He added that the customer service center has prepared a media plan focused on promoting this concept, through the issuance of a set of media items, including a house model, made up of a bedroom, a lounge, a kitchen and a bathroom; showcasing a number of causes of accidents and fires and the best means to deal with them.
“During the exhibition, we have distributed awareness brochures that interest all segments of society, through which the public can have access to the adequate information about the prevention and safety requirements. The audience was also introduced to Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate’s website www.adcd.gov.ae, and its useful information on safety in general, particularly in facilities, buildings and factories, with the possibility for inquiries and submitting proposals.
During their visit to the exhibition, some members of the public expressed their pleasure with the Civil Defense’s keenness to communicate with the public in advanced ways, and to provide important information that contributes to educate families and community members with the best methods, in order to protect their facilities from accidents.
