ADP Traffic and Patrol Dept urge drivers to slow down during fog

Lt. Colonel Yaslam Mubarak Al Tameemi, Head of Severe Accidents Investigation Section at ADP Department of Traffic and Patrols confirms that no accidents took place on Monday on internal and external roads during the foggy weather period.

He urges motorists on internal and external roads to be attentive, drive at low speeds, not overtake other vehicles, use low lights when visibility is low, not using hazard lights while driving, leaving a safe distance between vehicles wider than ordinary clear weathers and not using bright lights as they reflect fog and disturb other drivers vision.

Drivers of school, public transport and workers transport buses should take utmost precautions, drive at low speeds and be attentive when visibility is poor.

Motorists should stop their vehicles outside roads, switch off hazard lights and take necessary precautionary measures in case of breakdown.
