A total of 13 children from the Abu Dhabi Police Nursery of Sports Clubs and Activities Department visited the Rescue and Quick Intervention Branch of the Civil Defense Department at Mohamed Ben Zayed City in Abu Dhabi. During the visit, the children were acquainted with Civil Defense equipment such as fast intervention and ambulance cars, and other modern vehicles.

Captain Abdullah Al Tamimi, Chief of Customers Services and Public Relations Section in Abu Dhabi General Directorate of Civil Defense assured the keenness of the Directorate and its entities to pursue further development efforts in the field of rescue, firefighting and ambulance service. This would ensure   best-in-class services to maintain the lives of citizens and residents alike. Moreover, Captain Al Tamimi underscored the importance of such informational visits and their preventive role to promote security requirements.

He added that the Police leadership has harnessed every possible resource and acquired the latest and most advanced equipment and vehicles in the field of rescue, firefighting and ambulance service. It has also dedicated significant attention to expertise and recruited highly qualified human cadres to handle different types of natural and unnatural incidents.

For her part, Captain Maryam Jassem Ali Said, Head of the Abu Dhabi Police Nursery, indicated that the visit falls in line with the nursery’s educational and recreational programs, adding that children received theoretical lessons about Civil Defense, quick intervention and ambulance service in a manner suited for their ages and intellectual capacities. At the end of visit, the Civil Defense Department distributed commemorative gifts to the visiting group.
