Abu Dhabi Police has reiterated its call to members of the public to communicate via the Aman service, through which they can deliver information regarding security, traffic and social issues round the clock to the Abu Dhabi Police in Arabic, English and Urdu. To do so, they can either dial the toll free number 8002626, or send a SMS to 2828 or an e-mail to Aman on Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters' website (www.aman.gov.ae).
Commenting on the issue, Major Jassem Al Hosani from the Federal Security Information Department said: "The Aman service provides a set of community and police services, and provides the public with direct channels of communication with Abu Dhabi Police, taking into account the diversity of cultures and languages among community members, with a view to achieve customer satisfaction, way beyond their expectations."
Major Al Hosani assured that all information received from informants are handled confidentially and reported to concerned authorities in the various police stations and departments, which in turn, assume their responsibilities by following up on the information and taking the necessary procedures. "The provided information contributes to enhancing security and stability, and preventing crimes," he added.
In conclusion, he said: "The Aman service aims to enhance society's trust and instill confidence in police performance at all times and circumstances, as it provides answers and responds to people’s inquiries. It listens to the information they submit, and takes note of their feedback and proposals in order to address any problems immediately and overcome obstacles, with the aim of enhancing performance."
It is worth mentioning that the Aman service received a well-deserved attention from visitors to the International Exhibition for Security and National Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2014), which concluded it activities on Thursday April 3rd.
