The Traffic and Patrols Department at the Central Operations General Department at the Sharjah Police General Headquarters, visited the Traffic and Patrols Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to review the traffic accident data entry system. The visit is in line with the joint work between traffic departments in the country to benefit from each other’s expertise to bring out best practices to traffic work.
Colonel Khamis Is’haq Muhammad, Acting Director of Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, met the delegation headed by Major Rashid Ahmad Al Fardan, Director of the Statistics Branch at the Sharjah Police Traffic and Patrols Department. The meeting addressed a number of topics related to traffic and patrols tasks, in addition to discussing the mutual cooperation between the two parties.
Colonel Khamis Is’haq stressed on benefiting from expertise of different traffic departments in the country on the traffic accident data input field, in order to enhance the traffic database in the federal traffic system.
Lt. Colonel Ahmed Al Zayoudi, Head of the Major Traffic Accidents Division, introduced the delegation to the division’s organizational structure and the tasks and missions it carries out in the investigation process during the visit. He explained to the delegation how data entry can support information, studying and analyzing traffic accidents.
The delegation received a detailed description on models used in the traffic accident data entry system, filing cases, and referring them to general prosecution; the models were presented by Major Abdullah Al Swaidi, Director of Investigation and Case Filing Branch at the Major Traffic Accidents Division. The description also addressed tasks and missions undertaken by the Statistics Branch at the Directorate.
