78 traffic awareness lectures in Al Ain over 4 months
Al Ain Traffic Section organized 78 awareness lectures during the first quarter of the current year in cooperation and coordination with a number of public and private schools, universities, technology colleges, military units and Emirates transport Authority (ETA) in Al Ain City.
The lecture targeted different community segments, students of all ages, drivers of ETA. The lecture covered a range of issues, such as getting inside and outside school buses and traffic accidents risks for school students.
The lectures also educated bus drivers on compliance with traffic rules and regulations, on how to adhere to traffic safety at schools, actions to be taken when approaching students gathering spots or inside school premises or in residential areas to ensure the safety of all. The lectures focused on the most important causes of traffic accidents and how to avoid them, the most common traffic violations and their consequences.
Lt. Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Blushi said “Organization of these lectures comes within the framework of awareness efforts made by the Section in response to the overall vision of ADP GHQ to achieve a wise traffic culture for all community segments. 8430 students, drivers and road users benefited from these lectures.
