3 batches of trainees graduated from ADP Ports Security Institute

 

 Ports Security Institute at ADP Airports and Ports security Department has celebrated the graduation of three batches of trainees. They attended three courses titled “Security Inspection at Airports”, “Airports Security Basic course” and “English: language Course”. Colonel Khamis Mussabah al Marar, Director of the Department, Lt. Colonel Abdullah Khattab al Dhahri, Director of the Institute and a number of officers attended the ceremony.

Al Marar in his speech to the graduates affirmed the importance of training for performance promotion gaining the latest security knowledge and refreshing trainees information. He congratulated the trainees for their success and wished them success in their careers.

The Security Inspection at Airports Course was organized in cooperation with the German Police. The course continued for two weeks and attended by 33 officers, NCOs and a number of civilians. The training involved manual inspection, machine-aided inspection and the use of CPT.

The 21 graduates of two-week basic airports security course received theoretical lectures on different procedures of inspection at airports. They also received practical training in detection of hazardous materials by use of equipment. 12 NCOs and civilians received lectures in English language, including communication with English language skills and terms in use at airports.
