12 elements from the Special tasks Department receive training in close protection

 

The Department of Special tasks department at ADP celebrated the graduation of 12 officers and NCOs of its close protection elements from an advanced two-week training course, on Thursday.

The celebration was attended by Colonel Rashid Suhail Saeed Al Ali, Director of the Department and a number of officers. He said in his speech to the graduates “This course and others shows ADP GHQ keenness to develop and promote its employees efficiency, through an integrated development programme consisting of training courses in all policing areas. We respond to our leadership directives which urge us to achieve excellence and keep best standards of performance”.   

At the end of his speech he lauded the good performance of graduates and their quick grasp of advanced theoretical and practical training.

The graduates staged a demonstration showing defence against firearms and knives, and protection of VIPs during processions.

Colonel Rashid presented certificates to the graduates, with his best wishes.
