The Security Media team qualified for the final match at the Ramadan Journalists Association Championship, after its win yesterday evening against the Al Khaleej 1 team at the semifinals. The game ended by 3 to 1.
The Security Media team will meet the WAM team at the final tomorrow, Tuesday. The WAM team stepped in to the final after its win against the Journalists Sons team by 4 to 1.
The game between the Security Media and Al Khaleej 1 teams had strong and exciting first half; both teams played offensively, and yet they both wasted easy opportunities to score finishing the first half of the game with a draw of zero for both teams. During the second half, the Security Media players’ performance increased and they scored the first goal by Ahmad Abdul Rahman. Al Khaleej 1 players tried to even the score, but all their attempts failed against the tough defense of the Security Media team and the stellar performance of its goal keeper. While the Security Media team did not give the Al Khaleej team a chance to score, they also scored their second goal by the same player, Ahmad Abdul Rahman. As the game continued it was Rahman who eventually made a hat-trick by scoring a third goal securing a win for the Security Media team with a final score of 3 to 0. The Security Media team won all of its matches in the second group; defeating the Journalists Sons team by 2 to 1, the Al Ittihad team by 3 to1, and the Al Khaleej 2 team by 13 to 0.
