Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of H.H Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior honored the departments that have been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification, as well as quality teams, partners; and a number of officers and non-commissioned officers from the various departments at the Ministry of Interior.
The honoring ceremony, which was held in the Auditorium of the Ministry of Interior, was attended by Colonel Muhammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dahiri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General;in addition to Directors General, Departments’ directors, and a number of Interior Ministry officers.
In his address during the honoring ceremony, the Secretary General emphasized the importance of documenting information in our daily lives, particularly in police work. He urged departments to maintain this achievement and exert further efforts; by involving all staff in the quality process and spreading culture at the various levels.
Moreover, heindicated that the fact of winning the ISO certificate by a number of departments embodies the directives of the police leadership and its unlimited support for quality and development plans. He added that this phase comes in line with the plan to qualify the various sectors of the Ministry of Interior to win the ISO 9001:2008certificates; to document procedures and link them with the strategic plan, the Ministry’s operations and excellence methodologies, which included a number of departments at the Ministry of Interior.
Furthermore, Major General Al Nuaimi highlighted the need to maintaincontinuous development; to further improveperformance and encourage creativity and innovation. “The Quality Department will pursue improving work systems, as per its plans; as well as to provide support to all departments, to promote the efforts of development andto advance police work in accordance with the best standards,” he continued.
At the end of the honoring ceremony, the Secretary General, accompanied by Colonel Muhammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dahiri, distributed the ISO certificates to the winning departments.
