In a ceremony held at the Ministry of Interior’s Lecture Hall, Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, honored a number of retired officers.
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far addressed the retired officers conveying the greetings of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior who wished them a decent life.
In his speech at the ceremony, Al Sha’far said: “You have served your country and fulfilled your duties. Through your efforts and dedication, you have contributed to elevating the status of this significant security organization, which praises your enduring efforts. Your work and efforts will remain in the memory of the police generations that carry the banner, and will continue the security work process in the Ministry of Interior.”
He extended gratitude and appreciation to the retired officers, wishing them good luck in their lives. “Retirement is not the end of a journey, but the beginning of a new permanent phase to serve our country,” he said.
For their part, the retired officers extended their gratitude and appreciation to the police commandment for this generous gesture that evidences the communication between the ministry and its personnel, both working and retired. They said that the instructions of the police commandment had a great impact in helping them carry out their duties, especially in the Ministry of Interior, where they work with a one-team spirit, exchanging their experiences.
Concluding, Al Sha’far handed certificates of appreciation and memorial gifts to the retired officers.
Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadi, Acting Head of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior, in addition to a number of police officers, was present at the ceremony.
