The Abu Dhabi Police GHQ has recently approved the standards and guidelines of the quality management system “ISO” for Police institutions at the local police level. The standards were discussed and approved, as per the accreditations of the Emirates Authority for Standardization & Metrology (ESMA).
Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said: “These guidelines and standards will be discussed on the GCC level in a specialized workshop that will be organized by Abu Dhabi Police tomorrow, Sunday, at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi”.
The two-day workshop will discuss the required standards and guidelines to implement the ISO quality management system for Police institutions.
It is noteworthy that a distinguished team from the Strategy and Performance Development General Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, recently completed the first draft on Police work principles, according to the international standard ISO 9001:2008.
This standard, the first of its kind locally, regionally and internationally, complements the development achievements at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ. It is reflected through the distinguished outcomes of the strategic initiatives, to achieve an international status in quality management, thanks to the support of the police leadership.
Moreover, this project is a pioneering achievement, stemming from Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s keenness to adopt quality standard systems. It also reflects the significant efforts exerted by the leadership on all levels, to develop and document police work on both administrative and field levels, to enhance the security process according to the International quality management systems.
