“Abu Dhabi Traffic” discusses training cooperation with the
British Police
Colonel (Engineer) Hussain Ahmed Al Harthi, Director of ADP Directorate of Traffic and Patrols, received at his office on Wednesday, a delegation from the British Police (New Scotland yard), headed by Mick Latham, First Inspector of British Capital Police, in the presence of Colonel, Khamis Ishaq Mohammad Deputy Director of the Directorate.
They discussed during the meeting cooperation horizons in training and exchange of expertise in all traffic areas.
Al Harthi affirmed the Directorate’s keenness to keep pace with modern traffic systems in use by advanced countries, to make use of their experiences in enhancing our traffic systems so as to activate ADP traffic safety strategy aiming to reduce the rates of accidents and the resulting deaths and severe injuries.
He also discussed with British delegation the possibilities of cooperation in training areas related to traffic and patrols and all traffic systems, in addition to activation of exchanged visits so as to learn each other’s models and experiments.
Al Harthi briefed the visiting delegation on the Directorate Organizational Structure, ADP Safety Strategy and efforts made by the Directorate to keep pace with the urbanization and tourism developments achieved Abu Dhabi. At the end of the visit both sides exchanged mementos.
