The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols at Abu Dhabi Police, in collaboration with the Community Police presented awareness programs to the employees of Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Company Limited (GASCO) as part of the health and environmental safety drive the company has organized 12-15 December to promote adherence to traffic rules among its employees.
A traffic awareness publication exhibition was held to warn against the accidents occurring due to jumping the red traffic light, clarified Lt Colonel Jamal Al Ameri, head of public relations section at the Directorate.
The program is held as part of the 3 month- traffic awareness campaign "traffic light violators beware!" recently launched by the ministry of interior.
Addressing GASCO employees, Lit Hamid Al Bloushi called on them to slow down near traffic lights and junctions, to avoid colliding with vehicles coming from the other directions, a thing which would cause deaths and serious injuries.
