The Al Ain Traffic Section at the Traffic and Patrols Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police took part in the 29th Arab Deaf Week festival with a traffic awareness pavilion. The week-long event taking place at the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, features participation of a number of government and private institutions that support this social segment, and is held under the theme “The Sports of the Deaf”.
Major Salah Abdullah Al Hemairi, Chief of Al Ain Traffic Section, stressed the section's keenness to interact with the various social events, in pursuance of Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters' vision. This vision aims at spreading traffic education among the different society segments, especially school students of all academic levels, being the most important element in the awareness process and the pillars of the nation’s future. It also aims to acquaint them with traffic rules and regulations and the need to respect these laws out of conviction.
First Lieutenant Nasser Khalifa Al Shamesi, Acting Public Relations Branch Manager, explained that visitors to Al Ain Traffic Section’s pavilion at the festival were acquainted with the traffic bike patrol tasks. A large number of awareness brochures, magazines and memorial gifts were distributed to visitors from all walks of life; awareness lectures were also organized to increase traffic awareness among students.
