Abu Dhabi Police to distribute Ramadan Iftar meals to drivers
Effective Monday which marks the first day of Ramadan, Abu Dhabi Police will start distributing Ramadan Iftar meals throughout Ramadan in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region, in coordination with many charitable and humanitarian organizations.
Traffic patrols will distribute Iftar to all motorists and passengers traveling around Iftar time. The initiative is intended for seeking Allah’s pleasure and for reflecting the humanitarian role assumed by police towards the people, noted Brigadier Hussein Al Harithi, director of Traffic and Patrols.
He valued the charitable initiatives made by individuals and institutions. He also indicated that such meals will help eliminate confusion of derivers who normally hurry to catch Iftar.
