Colonel Saif Al Kutbi, Police College Director honored the undergraduate Ahmed Abdullah Mohammad Ali from the 24th batch of university graduates who was crowned first in the individuals’ pistol shooting competition.
The one-week championship, recently organized by the College, witnessed a fierce competition between participants competing for the Police College Director’s Cup, due to their close technical level. A number of Police College recruits from the candidate batches No. 24/25/26/27, and the 24th batch of university undergraduates took part in the championship organized at the Police Officers’ Club in Abu Dhabi under the supervision of the College’s Training Branch. Khaled Sultan Al Kutbi from the 24th batch of recruits ranked second while Hamdan Rashed Al Zakhmi from the 25th batch of recruits came in third place.
Colonel Al Kutbi stressed the police leadership’s keenness to support the various police activities, pointing out that “the Police embraces creativity”, so as to enhance candidate students’ abilities and instill the spirit of dedication, devotion, and discipline among them. He also emphasized the College’s keen attention to the gun shooting activity, being one of the police sports that aim to develop students’ skills and boost their efficiency in one of the most important areas of police qualification and training. Additionally, the Police College works diligently to instill and develop human relations between police recruits, so as to create cohesion and amity between them.
The ceremony was attended by directors and heads of departments, and a large number of officers in the college. Concluding, the College Director General honored the top three winners.
