The Department of Community Police at Abu Dhabi Police participates in the deliberations of the 6th edition of Al Dhafra Festival for Camel Mazayna 2012, organized by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority during 15-29 December 2012 in the Zayed City in the Western Region.
Captain Maktoum Saeed Al Mazroui, Chief of Community Police Affairs Section at the Department of Community Police, said: “the participation of the Community Police in the Western Region started one week before the festival through an education campaign that included a number of visits to farms. These visits aim on educating residents on adhering and respecting laws, in order to show the social and civilized role that Abu Dhabi Police and Community Police are playing through active participation in activities organized by official and community entities.
He stressed on enhancing the Community Police programs through collaboration with visitors at the festival that witness attendance from most of the GCC countries and other nationalities and from all ages. “We want to send awareness messages and introduce the Community Police and its objectives, in order to spread security culture,” he added.
Al Mazroui continued: “The Community Police has devoted exiting shows for children by the Teddy Bear character ‘Al Dabdoub’ that presents a number of entertaining, cultural and traditional shows. We want to send awareness messages to children through the activities of the Children Village in the festival.
